Testing Services Mission and Policies

BSU student writing

Mission

Testing Services supports the educational mission of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø by providing students and members of the southeastern Massachusetts community with high quality testing and assessment services that aid in the pursuit of academic and professional excellence. As a subscriber to the National College Testing Association's Professional Standards and Guidelines, we aim to provide a secure, efficient, and comfortable testing environment.

BSU Testing Services Policy

Testing Services adheres to all of the procedural points required by the testing companies whose tests we administer. Therefore, exceptions to identification requirements, prohibited items, cancellation or reschedule policies, or any other facet of testing company policy, cannot and will not be made.

Each test we offer at Testing Services has its own set of compliance criteria mandated by the test sponsor. If you have a policy question or seek clarification on any policy point, please contact our office, or the appropriate test sponsor. Familiarity with and compliance to test company policy is the test taker's responsibility.

Inclement Weather Policy

Any exams that need to be rescheduled due to weather-related closures will not incur any extra fees or charges. In cases of snow and other inclement weather, BSU Testing Services follows 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's closure policy. If the university closes due to weather, or any other reason, Testing Services closes as well. If the university experiences a delayed opening, all exams scheduled before the delayed open time will be canceled. If the university closes early, all exams scheduled after the early closing time will be canceled, and all exams in progress will be canceled.

For the most up to date weather-related closure information, refer to the ; in the case of a closure, a message will be posted on the university's homepage.
