The BSU Speech Language Literacy Center is the recipient of a grant from the Parkinson Voice Project to support implementation of the for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson Voice Project developed this two-part therapy approach to help individuals with Parkinson's preserve their speech and swallowing abilities.
We are currently accepting referrals for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease who are seeking Speech Language Pathology treatment.
Our center is a "No Fee for Service" program that supports the education of our graduate students in Speech Language Pathology. Our graduate students will work with our clinical educators to apply the evidence supported methodologies of the SPEAK OUT!® therapy program. We also conduct weekly SPEAK OUT® group therapy for clients who have completed an intensive course of speech therapy for individual's diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
