Internships
Through clinical-, research- or business-based internships, students put into practice what they’ve learned in the classroom. Our students have completed internships in such organizations as the VA Hospital and McLean Hospital, as well as prisons, human resources departments, public sector agencies and schools. Students may also choose to do a Peer-Assisted Learner (PAL) internship, in which they serve as teaching assistants at BSU for credit.

Undergraduate Research
The Department of Psychology Research Lab on the top floor of the Moakley building provides a standardized, distraction-free testing environment with observation rooms, eye-tracker technologies and neuropsychological testing equipment. Students become involved as early as their freshman year, joining a faculty member’s research group and staying with them throughout their time at Bridgewater. By their junior or senior year, students are equipped to construct their own project and to present their work at national conferences.

Student Academic Clubs
The Bridgewater chapter of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology, supports the national organization’s mission to encourage, stimulate and maintain academic excellence in the science of psychology.
